Introduction

How to be experimental on screen-based narrative? Muse, an original narrative exploring the themes of loneliness, longing, and self-discovery, is an immersive short film with Augmented Reality interaction. Designed specifically for a 150' x 11' screen in The lobby of IAC, Headquarters in New York City.

GOAL

Create a three minutes visual immersion experience, which treats the architecture space as a time-based medium, instead of only focusing on the video wall. And narrate the story about chasing and self-finding in the river of life.

CONCEPT

Create an experimental interactive narrative with Augmented Reality as an added medium layer exploring the story and feel the immersive experience.

Emotion Journey

dreamlike river, surreal city and infinite space shape Muse, with color changing from dark to purplish to orangish. 

express the emotion of lost, wonder and self-finding.

Augmented Reality Mask

The AR experience add a sensation layer to the experience, the story extend from the screen to the whole space.   The user can follow the character to have an immersive experience.
